In October 2019, Campus Compact will welcome community engagement professionals and a team of distinguished facilitators to co-create two Communities of Practice (CoPs) for the Community Engagement Fundamentals and Community Partnership Micro-Credentials. Each CoP will consist of approximately 12-15 participants.

Compact20 is the largest and most inclusive national conference focused on the role of higher education in building democracy and healthy communities. Sessions explore topics such as civic engagement, community-engaged research, civic- and service-learning, institutional change, university-community partnerships, and more. Compact20 provides professional development and networking opportunities for community engagement professionals, engaged faculty, community partners, student civic leaders, and campus senior leaders.
The Campus Compact 2020 National Conference will be held at the Hyatt Regency Seattle in Seattle, WA, from March 29 – April 1, 2020.
The Western Region Campus Compacts are accepting nominations for up to fifteen early career community engaged faculty, staff, and/or administrators to join the 2019-2020 Engaged Scholars Initiative, a collaborative learning and leadership cohort for early career professionals.
The purpose of the Engaged Scholars Initiative is to develop, support and connect faculty, staff, and/or administrative leaders who can advance co-created knowledge, critically engaged pedagogies, institutional change, and collaborative action to address societal issues through campus and community partnerships.
The 21st Continuums of Service Conference will be hosted at Kapi’olani Community College in Hawai’i from March 17-19, 2021. Keep an eye out for updates, the roll-out of the conference theme, and the call for proposals in mid-2020.
