LEAD California staff are available to make strategic visits to our member institutions. We are frequently invited to campus to hold a brown bag lunch, conduct a faculty training, or to meet with administrators to garner support for community engagement on the campus. If you are interested in coordinating a campus site visit please contact Elaine Ikeda (elaine@leadcalifornia.org).
“I have been connected to California Campus Compact for nearly 20 years — through the Engaged Campus project in the late 1990s, to the service-learning syllabi database, and now as the director of the center for civic and community engagement. California Campus Compact facilitates professional networking that keeps me connected regionally and nationally, as well as provides practical resources, like the Civic Action Plan, that help my institution embrace our next set of opportunities for deeper community engagement. The professional development through regional retreats and gatherings is top notch, and the new bi-annual national gathering has great presenters. My students benefit directly, too: recently several participated in the Principal Scholars and Community Engagement Student Fellowship programs. California Campus Compact is a great investment for my campus.”
