ABOUT THE ALLIANCE FOR CAMPUS COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
LEAD California is connected to a vibrant network of similar state and regional place-based organizations across the country. This group of organizations, named the Alliance for Campus Community Engagement, is dedicated to supporting the public purposes of higher education and community engagement nationally through a robust and diverse array of programs, initiatives, and events. As a member campus of LEAD California, you and other stakeholders on your campus have discounted and, at times, free access to programs, conferences, workshops, and events offered by Alliance for Campus Community Engagement member organizations. Information about discounts, benefits, and access to these opportunities for LEAD California member institutions will be shared on Alliance for Campus Community Engagement organization websites and via our monthly listserv. Over the last fifteen years, California Campus Compact has provided invaluable support through the multiple ways in which they willingly “show-up” on our campus. Elaine’s presence through campus visits has been pivotal in establishing robust programming based on effective practices. Her knowledge and experience provides context and credibility, positioning our work within a larger national field. I am extremely grateful for and can not imagine being able to develop and implement community-engaged learning on our campus without being able to call on California Campus Compact.
